My name is Steven Herod, and I am an ADD infested, forty-something computer geek. I am married to a beautiful, loving, and mostly insane woman, and I have two wonderful kids who take after us in many respects, a fact for which they will no doubt sue us for when they get to be of age.
Generally, I am a content and happy guy--largely, I suspect, because I am also totally clueless.
I am fascinated by religion as only a person who was raised without religion could be. My childhood religious upbringing was, by-and-large, non-existent. Religion was not so much ridiculed in my family as ignored. True, my dad made fun of televangelists, but this is a normal, healthy thing to be encouraged and by no means reflected his views on religion overall, which now and, alas, forever more will remain a mystery to me.
